5 Christian Books to Get on Your Shelf This Year

Life is full of choices. Should you go right or left? Talk to him or her? Read this book or that book?

We end up settling for, what seems to be, the better option. Half the year has gone by and it won’t be long before school starts back up again. Why not dive into the school year with some new books? There are countless books out there and, since I’m a total bookworm, I’m always on the lookout for another good read.

Over this past year, I came across some amazing books that encouraged me to impact the world and challenged me in my walk with God.

Of course, the Bible is the one and only book that we should base our lives on. However, we can also learn from the wisdom of those around us. Don’t forget to make sure what you read lines up with Scripture!

And, now, 5 books to get on your shelf this year!

1. The Christian Atheist by Craig Groeschel

This book is one of my favorites. It brings to light many struggles that we, as Christians, face in our walk with God. We can say we know God, but do we actually follow Him? Many of us have fallen into the trap of becoming a Christian atheist.

2. Love Defined by Kristen Clark and Bethany Baird

Love Defined¬†was released this year! It focuses primarily on God’s design for romance and lasting relationships. Hollywood has painted a picture of love that looks great in the movies, but not so great in real life. God has painted a perfect picture of love that never fails.

3. The Drop Box by Brian Ivie

The Drop Box¬†is the remarkable story of Brian Ivie as he produced a documentary and discovered God, in the process. This story is one you won’t want to miss!

4. Lies Young Women Believe by Nancy Leigh DeMoss

Satan influences us through the things around us. If we don’t stand strong on the truth of God’s Word, we will be swayed and drawn away by the lies of Satan. This book is great for exploring some of God’s truth and learning how to apply it in our everyday lives.

5. The Book of Virtues

This book is giant and is filled with a variety of stories! Each story has a moral for us to take into the way we live our lives. From Bible stories to short fables, this book is a great addition to any home!

There you have it!

It’s time for those empty spaces that bookshelf to be filled with some good, Christian books!
